Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer with experience in AI-assisted development and GenAI integration to build and modernize enterprise applications.

This is primarily a hands-on Java engineering role , with an expectation to:

• Leverage GenAI capabilities within applications and SDLC
• Go beyond basic AI tools usage (e.g., Copilot)
• Understand how AI fits into real-world software engineering workflows

Candidates must have practical experience integrating and applying GenAI in engineering contexts .

Key Responsibilities

1. Core Java Engineering

• Design and develop scalable applications using Java (8+), Spring Boot, Microservices
• Build event-driven systems using Apache Kafka
• Develop REST APIs and backend services
• Ensure performance, scalability, and security of applications
• Follow best practices in clean code and system design

2. GenAI Integration (Practical Application Focus)

• Integrate GenAI/LLM-based capabilities into applications (e.g., summarization, automation, recommendations)
• Work with APIs/services (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.) in enterprise use cases
• Implement basic RAG patterns, prompt design, and context handling
• Collaborate with AI teams for advanced implementations (not build models from scratch)

3. AI-Driven SDLC (AIDLC)

• Use tools like GitHub Copilot effectively for development acceleration
• Apply AI across SDLC:
• Code generation & refactoring
• Unit test generation
• Documentation
• Debugging & support
• Contribute to AI-assisted code reviews and productivity improvements
• Promote best practices for AI-enabled development workflows

4. Collaboration & Delivery

• Work in Agile/Scrum teams
• Collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, and product teams
• Mentor junior developers
• Contribute to design discussions and technical decisions

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

• 6+ years of experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in:
• Java 8+
• Spring Boot
• Microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Practical exposure to:
• GenAI / LLM APIs integration (not just usage)
• Basic prompt engineering / RAG / context handling
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI tools effectively
• SQL / NoSQL databases
• Agile / DevOps environment experience

Good-to-Have (NOT Mandatory)

• Exposure to:
• LangChain / Semantic Kernel / similar frameworks
• Basic understanding of agent-based workflows (high-level only)
• Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Banking / Financial domain experience
