Cloud Solutions Architect (AWS/Azure)

📍 Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architec t to lead the design of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures across AWS and Azure environments. This role focuses on developing cloud standards, governance frameworks, and solution architectures while partnering with engineering and business teams to drive cloud adoption, modernization, and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments
• Create cloud architecture standards, governance frameworks, policies, and implementation guides
• Assess existing applications for cloud readiness and develop a migration and modernization roadmap
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement cloud solutions and provide architectural guidance
• Design hybrid cloud and on-premises integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or Pulumi
• Support CI/CD pipeline architecture using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline
• Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, RBAC, encryption, network security, and compliance framework
• Optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, availability, and cost efficiency using FinOps principles
• Design cloud networking solutions, including VPCs, VNets, VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, load balancers, and CDN service
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and networking issues using cloud-native monitoring and logging tools
• Partner with Infrastructure, Networking, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Finance, and other stakeholders to deliver enterprise cloud solutions

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience wi th Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• 2+ years of experience wi th Microsoft Azure
• Strong experience designing enterprise cloud architectures, governance, and cloud adoption strategies
• Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or Pulumi
• Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure compute, storage, networking, databases, serverless technologies, and container platforms (EKS, ECS, AKS, Kubernetes, Docker
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM/RBAC, Zero Trust, CIS, NIST, and ISO 27001
• Experience with cloud monitoring, performance optimization, disaster recovery, backup strategies, and FinOps
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused solutions

Nice to Have

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Knowledge of Cloud DevOps, Cloud Networking, Cloud Security, and Cloud FinOps
• Experience with Microsoft Visio for architecture documentation
• Familiarity with SIEM tools such as Splunk or Chronicle Security
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional or other cloud certifications.
