Job Title: DevOps Engineer (Offshore) - AWS Platform Deployment Data Modernization

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer (Offshore) to support enterprise data modernization initiatives by deploying and managing AWS-native services across NYLs ecosystem.

This role will be responsible for:

• Provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure and services
• Supporting migration of:
  • MuleSoft/API pipelines AWS-native pipelines
  • Tableau reports QuickSight dashboards
• Enabling scalable, secure, and automated deployments across environments

The ideal candidate combines strong DevOps, AWS infrastructure, and data platform experience to ensure reliable and repeatable deployments.

Key Responsibilities

1. AWS Infrastructure Provisioning Deployment

• Design, provision, and manage AWS infrastructure using:
  • RDS (PostgreSQL)
  • S3 (data lake storage)
  • Lambda (compute)
  • AWS Glue (ETL pipelines)
  • EventBridge (event orchestration)
• Spin up environments for dev, test, staging, and production
• Ensure consistent infrastructure across environments

2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Automation

• Develop and maintain IaC templates using:
  • Terraform
  • AWS CloudFormation
• Enable reusable, scalable deployment patterns
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and teardown

3. CI/CD Pipeline Implementation

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for:
  • AWS service deployments
  • Data pipeline releases (Glue, Lambda)
  • QuickSight assets deployment (datasets/dashboards where applicable)
• Integrate with tools like:
  • GitHub / GitLab
  • Jenkins / AWS CodePipeline
• Implement versioning, rollback, and deployment validation

4. MuleSoft to AWS Migration Support

• Support migration of MuleSoft and API-based pipelines to AWS-native architecture
• Deploy components using:
  • Lambda + API Gateway
  • EventBridge-based workflows
  • Glue-based ETL pipelines
• Assist in configuring and scaling event-driven architectures

5. Tableau to QuickSight Migration Support

• Support deployment of:
  • QuickSight datasets
  • Dashboards
  • Data sources
• Manage environment setup for QuickSight
• Ensure proper access control, permissions, and RLS configuration
• Assist BI teams in promoting assets across environments

6. Environment Release Management

• Manage multi-environment deployments (DEV, QA, PROD)
• Coordinate releases for:
  • Data pipelines
  • Infrastructure changes
  • BI assets
• Ensure configuration consistency across environments

7. Monitoring, Logging Reliability

• Implement monitoring and alerting using:
  • AWS CloudWatch
  • Logs for Glue, Lambda, and pipelines
• Identify and troubleshoot:
  • Deployment failures
  • Pipeline issues
  • Infra performance bottlenecks
• Ensure high availability and reliability of systems

8. Security Governance

• Implement IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege access
• Enable:
  • Data encryption (KMS)
  • Secure networking (VPC, subnets, security groups)
• Ensure compliance with enterprise governance standards

9. Collaboration Migration Support

• Work closely with:
  • Data Engineers (Glue, Lambda pipelines)
  • BI Developers (QuickSight)
  • Architects and platform teams
• Support:
  • Migration planning
  • Cutover activities
  • Post-migration stabilization
