Job Description
At NHS Property Services, we believe our people are our greatest asset. That’s why we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported and empowered to thrive. Our People Strategy - Get, Grow and Keep Great People - is focused on building a values-driven culture where colleagues and customers are at the heart of everything we do.
We’re looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to support our Chief Financial Officer, providing trusted, proactive and highly organised support in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
This isn’t a traditional diary management role. We’re looking for someone who can quickly build credibility, understand the priorities of a senior leader, and become a trusted partner who helps create focus, order and momentum. You’ll be someone who thrives on variety, can confidently navigate competing demands and has the resilience to remain composed when priorities shift at pace. The role requires strong judgement, excellent communication skills and the confidence to work independently, often anticipating needs before they arise. The Executive Assistant is expected to provide proactive executive support, manage communications and correspondence, coordinate complex meetings and ensure senior leaders are fully briefed and prepared.
Who you are We’re looking for a resilient, highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working at the heart of the business. You’ll be a confident communicator with excellent judgement, able to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and manage competing priorities with ease. Using your initiative to anticipate needs, solve problems and handle sensitive matters professionally, you’ll quickly learn the priorities and pace of a CFO’s world to become a trusted partner. Previous experience supporting senior leaders within a Finance function, or exposure to a financial or commercial environment, would be highly advantageous.
What you will do

- Act as a trusted point of contact on behalf of the Executive Director, managing communications and correspondence professionally whilst building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and track actions, commitments and deliverables, ensuring priorities are progressed, deadlines are met and stakeholders are held accountable for agreed outcomes.
- Provide comprehensive executive and administrative support, maintaining high standards of accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism across all activities.
- Prepare and manage confidential reports, presentations and correspondence, undertaking research where required and ensuring sensitive information is handled appropriately.
- Maintain effective governance, records management and administrative processes, including document management, purchase orders and the delivery of excellent customer service to stakeholders.
- Ability to absorb and apply policies, procedures and guidance relevant to the role
