AI Engineer Intern – Generative AI, Computer Vision & Robotics

The Opportunity:
Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking an AI Engineer Intern to join our research and development team. This internship offers a structured pathway for academic talents to transition their research into real-world industrial applications. Working alongside experienced AI researchers, you will contribute to high-impact projects spanning Agentic AI (LLMs), Computer Vision, and Autonomous Systems.

What You Will Learn & Build:

• Agentic AI & LLMs: Develop and experiment with orchestration frameworks using LangChain and LangGraph to build intelligent reasoning workflows.
• Deep Learning & Vision: Apply deep learning models to complex data, utilizing libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV for advanced computer vision challenges.
• Physical AI & Robotics: Explore reinforcement learning and autonomous system behaviors, with opportunities to work with the Robot Operating System (ROS).
• Collaborative R&D: Work as part of a cross-functional engineering team, translating statistical modeling and algorithms into functional software prototypes.

What You Bring:

• Academic Level: 4th-year undergraduate or master’s student in Computer Science, Data Science, Robotics, or a related technical discipline.
• Programming Foundations: Solid programming skills in Python or C++, with a strong theoretical foundation in Deep Learning.
• Core Toolkit: Familiarity with PyTorch/TensorFlow, NumPy, and OpenCV. (Exposure to LangChain, LangGraph, or ROS is highly beneficial).
• Communication: Good written and spoken English skills. (Japanese language proficiency is a plus).

Pay: 5,000,000₫ - 10,000,000₫ per month
