Role Description As a Senior Full Stack Engineer – AI & Next.js at Ingenworks, you will work as a contract engineer in a fully remote capacity, contributing to the design and implementation of the IngenSpark™ platform. You will build and maintain front-end features using Next.js and modern JavaScript frameworks, ensuring responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces. On the back end, you will develop scalable APIs and services, integrate AI and machine learning components, and manage data flows with cloud-based infrastructure and data platforms. Your day-to-day work will involve collaborating with product and data teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions, reviewing code, optimizing performance, and ensuring security and reliability across the stack. You will also help refine the architecture, suggest improvements, and contribute to best practices in full-stack development and AI integration.

Qualifications

• Strong Full-Stack Development and Software Development skills, including experience designing and implementing end-to-end web applications.
• Proficiency in Front-End Development, with deep knowledge of Next.js, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for building modern, responsive interfaces.
• Expertise in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful or GraphQL APIs, server-side frameworks, databases, and scalable cloud architectures.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI or machine learning components into production systems, working with data pipelines, and consuming ML models via services.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, CI/CD, performance optimization, and security.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, contract setting, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, or analytics platforms, and familiarity with modern DevOps tools and cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is beneficial.
