Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to join a growing infrastructure and security team. This role requires deep expertise in Palo Alto Networks firewalls , enterprise network security, and advanced security architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing large-scale firewall environments and designing secure, segmented network infrastructures within complex enterprise environments.

This is a highly technical role focused on network security engineering, firewall strategy, segmentation, decryption policies, and custom application identification development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network security solutions utilizing Palo Alto Networks firewalls .
• Manage and optimize a large-scale firewall environment consisting of approximately 100+ Palo Alto firewalls .
• Develop and maintain advanced network segmentation strategies to enhance security posture and regulatory compliance.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SSL/TLS decryption policies and security controls.
• Create, customize, and maintain Palo Alto App-ID signatures for proprietary and business-critical applications.
• Perform security assessments, policy reviews, and firewall rule optimization.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to develop secure network architectures.
• Analyze security threats, investigate incidents, and implement remediation measures.
• Support high-availability network environments and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and security standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in Network Security Engineering.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls in large enterprise environments.

• Custom App-ID Creation
• Threat Prevention
• VPN Technologies
• Routing and Switching
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and enterprise networking concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting complex network security issues across distributed environments.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and enterprise-scale network design.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Panorama and centralized firewall management.
• Exposure to cloud networking and security within AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Experience supporting highly regulated environments within financial services, healthcare, or large enterprise organizations.
• Industry certifications such as PCNSE, CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent are a plus.
