WHAT WE’RE BUILDING

We’re building the personal archivist: an AI agent that helps people capture and preserve the memories that matter most.

We build a texting relationship that feels like a trusted friend. It prompts you at the right moments, turns quick replies and camera roll photos into polished stories, and transforms them into physical keepsakes over time.

The bigger vision: an archival layer for your life. Integrated with your photos, aware of your people and milestones, and able to plug into any print, gifting, or album service.

Founder background: Columbia MBA, six years as a top 1% Account Executive at Oracle NetSuite, deep experience in retail, consumer behavior, and go-to-market.

THE ROLE

You own the entire technical side of the company. This is not a CTO-in-title role where you manage a team. You are the builder.

This product lives or dies on the quality of the conversational agent. If it feels awkward, hallucinates, or misses emotional tone, customers churn immediately. Your job is to make an AI relationship feel genuinely human and trustworthy, week after week, for years.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Architect the agentic system end to end: LLMs, computer vision, and metadata extraction working as one seamless workflow

• Build and obsess over the conversational layer

• Ship fast with agentic development tools

• Own privacy, compliance, and data architecture for deeply personal family content

WHO YOU ARE

• Strong engineering foundation with real ML architecture experience. You know how to layer generative and agentic models into production workflows, not just call one API

• You’ve shipped consumer-facing product, ideally conversational, and have opinions about what makes an AI interaction feel good versus uncanny

• Hands-on and in the codebase. You can fix anything that breaks

• Based in NYC or able to work closely in person

• High ownership, high ambition, low ego. You want to build a company, not just a product
