Communication & Working Style
We’re looking for more than just a developer—we’re looking for a long-term partner.
Many website issues are much easier to explain over a quick 10–15 minute Zoom or Google Meet than through long email threads. Because of this, we’re looking for someone who is comfortable hopping on occasional video calls during business hours to review projects, troubleshoot issues, and discuss new ideas.
Clear communication, responsiveness, and collaboration are just as important to us as technical ability. We value a working relationship where ideas can be discussed openly, timelines are communicated honestly, and challenges are solved together.
What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Takes ownership of projects
- Tests thoroughly before considering work complete
- Fixes issues without creating new ones elsewhere on the site
- Communicates proactively and keeps us updated on progress
- Is comfortable hopping on occasional Zoom or Google Meet calls
- Can explain technical concepts in a simple, easy-to-understand way
- Is responsive and enjoys building a collaborative, long-term working relationship
- Offers recommendations and solutions instead of simply completing assigned tasks
Example Projects
Projects may include:
- Product page improvements
- Collection page enhancements
- Mobile UX improvements
- Custom Shopify features
- Variant and product media improvements
- Back-in-stock functionality
- Shopify app integrations
- Landing page development
- Performance optimization
- Ongoing maintenance and bug fixes
