Assistant Commercial Property Manager

Realmark Commercial Pilbara is a unique business operating across the Pilbara region, with teams and offices based in South Hedland, Newman, Karratha, and remotely across Western Australia and NSW.

We’re flexible on location—you can be based in Port Hedland, Newman, Karratha, or work remotely from anywhere in WA, provided you have reliable transport links to the region and a suitable home office setup.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a highly organised, motivated Commercial Property Management professional to join and support our experienced senior team across a diverse Pilbara portfolio.

This is a remote-friendly role, but it’s not a “set and forget” position. You’ll need to be proactive, highly communicative, and comfortable working independently while staying connected as part of a close-knit and supportive team. If you are Perth-based, this role will be fully work-from-home, as we do not have a local office.

The standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm. That said, we understand that flexibility works both ways, and we’re open to discussing and negotiating arrangements for the right person.

You’ll work closely with two highly experienced Senior Commercial Property Managers, with additional support from our team members located across the region.

The ability to travel to the Pilbara would be great but isn’t a deal breaker - there wouldn’t be an ongoing regular travel requirement but more the opportunity to get to know your Portfolio.

THE PORTFOLIO

Our assets span Port Hedland, Newman, Karratha, Onslow, Tom Price, Paraburdoo and Roebourne.

The majority of properties are industrial, reflecting the nature of the Pilbara region.

WHAT YOUR DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE

You’ll play a key support role in ensuring smooth, efficient property management operations across the portfolio, including:

• Tenant communications and queries
• Arrears management
• Management authority renewals
• Ingoing, outgoing, and routine property condition reports (6-monthly cycles)
• Tenant insurance compliance
• Maintenance compliance and tracking
• Contractor coordination and management
• Organising landlord maintenance and works
• Supporting the connection between the leasing team and and the property management team with day-to-day coordination

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-capable environment and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.

You will have:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Commercial or Industrial Property Management
• Current WA Property Management Registration (essential)
• Strong communication skills (phone, email, and Teams video meetings)
• Excellent organisational skills and self-discipline for remote work
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
• Ability to travel to the Pilbara as required (preferred but not essential)
• Experience with Re-Leased (desirable, not essential)

You’ll also need to be comfortable working independently, staying focused without distractions, and managing your own workflow effectively.

And importantly—you should have a good sense of humour and enjoy being part of a team that stays connected, even while working remotely.
