Job Description

Role: Java Full Stack Tech Lead (Angular, APIs, Business Banking)

Location: Toronto (Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite)

Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Tech Lead to drive end-to-end delivery of business banking initiatives. This role requires strong technical leadership, deep understanding of banking data, and the ability to design scalable solutions across distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the end-to-end technical owner for business banking initiatives
  • Lead solution design for both real-time and batch integrations across multiple platforms (on-prem and cloud)
  • Define and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality delivery
  • Oversee system integrations, APIs, and microservices architecture
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of applications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in Java Full Stack development with Angular
  • Proven experience in a Tech Lead or similar leadership role
  • Hands-on expertise in designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Experience with real-time and batch data processing/integration
  • Strong understanding of system architecture across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Prior experience working in business banking / commercial banking domain
  • Solid knowledge of banking data, payments, lending, or financial systems
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional teams
