Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Trainee Network Engineer / Network Operations Engineer
- •24x7 monitoring of network infras (routers and switches) using NMS tools.
- •Acknowledge and respond to network alerts, events, and incidents in real-time.
- •Perform first-level troubleshooting for network-related issues (link down, flaps, latency, packet drops, etc.).
- •Validate physical and logical connectivity (IP reachability, port status, interface errors).
- •Log incidents and perform initial diagnostics before escalating to L2/NOC shift lead.
- •Coordinate with Telcos, and internal teams for resolution and updates.
- Maintain accurate ticket documentation (incident logs, actions taken, communication history).
- Escalate unresolved issues to L2,L3/NOC Lead as per the escalation matrix and SOPs.
- •Follow SOPs for incident handling, escalation, and reporting. •Participate in daily health checks and routine validation activities. •Ensure timely communication and incident updates to stakeholders
