Senior Software Engineer

Location: Toronto, Canada

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join a fast-growing, product-driven organization focused on building scalable and innovative technology solutions. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working across the full stack, solving complex technical challenges, and contributing to AI-driven product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems and APIs
  • Build responsive and user-friendly front-end applications
  • Contribute to AI/ML-driven features and continuously enhance algorithm performance
  • Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering best practices
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product and design
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
  • Support deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization of applications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in software development

Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience with Python, java, Kotlin and Spring Boot
  • Proficiency in React.js
  • Solid experience with MySQL

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Working knowledge of Python
  • Experience with AWS cloud services
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerization
