Java Developer

About the Role

Due to platform evolution and new feature development, they are seeking a Java Developer to join a collaborative engineering team delivering secure, scalable, high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance platform features with a focus on quality and maintainability
• Write clean, secure, well-structured and testable code
• Collaborate with Product and Delivery teams on new capabilities
• Contribute to sprint planning, estimation and delivery
• Support production issues and ensure system reliability
• Drive continuous improvement across tools, processes and engineering practices

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ commercial software development experience

Required Skills

• Strong Java experience (JVM languages such as Groovy a bonus)
• Experience with Spring or Guice, and Hibernate/JPA
• Solid unit testing experience (JUnit, Mockito)
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles and clean code
• Experience building secure, scalable applications
• Experience with Maven, Gradle or similar build tools
• Version control (Git or Mercurial) and CI/CD exposure
• SQL database experience (PostgreSQL, SQL Server or Oracle)
• Experience integrating REST or SOAP APIs
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
