Job Title: Cybersecurity Software Engineer AI Safety (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking cybersecurity-focused Software Engineers to play a critical role in making advanced AI models safer, more reliable, and more secure. In this position, you will leverage your security and engineering expertise to evaluate, stress-test, and strengthen how next-generation AI models handle specialized cybersecurity concepts.

No prior AI or Machine Learning experience is required. We will provide comprehensive training on our specific workflow and evaluation guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Expert Prompt Engineering: Design and write expert-level prompts across highly specialized cybersecurity topics to test the boundaries of advanced AI models.
• Evaluation & Annotation: Analyze, grade, and annotate model responses for technical accuracy, helpfulness, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Content Classification: Apply structured, granular guidelines to classify prompts and complex conversations regarding sensitive security topics.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify potential vulnerabilities in model outputs and ensure the responsible handling of dual-use information.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements (Must meet at least one of the following):

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related technical field, OR
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience at a reputable tech company or startup.

Core Skills:

• Strong fundamental understanding of cybersecurity concepts, modern software architectures, and system security.
• Exceptional technical reasoning capabilities and strong written communication skills in English.
• Sound judgment regarding security practices and the ethical implications of dual-use technology.

Nice to Have:

• Professional experience in offensive security, penetration testing, red-teaming, or vulnerability research.
• Prior experience reviewing, grading, or auditing technical engineering content.

Compensation & Engagement Terms

• Engagement Type: Independent Contractor
• Location: Fully Remote (Work from anywhere on your own schedule).
• Payment: Competitive hourly rate ($60–$90/hour), paid weekly via Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
• Visa Sponsorship: Please note that we are unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates for this contract.
