Settlement Agent/Conveyancing Assistant

About the Role

As a Conveyancer at Sargeants Dandenong, you will manage residential and commercial conveyancing matters from commencement through to settlement while providing exceptional client service throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing conveyancing transactions from contract to settlement
• Preparing and reviewing contracts, transfer documents, and settlement documentation
• Liaising with clients, real estate agents, brokers, financial institutions, and government agencies
• Conducting property and title searches
• Managing electronic conveyancing transactions through PEXA
• Monitoring critical dates and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements
• Maintaining accurate client records and file management systems
• Providing clients with clear and professional advice throughout the conveyancing process

About You

We are looking for a proactive and organised professional who thrives in a client-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Conveyancer
• Strong knowledge of conveyancing processes and property transactions
• Experience using PEXA and electronic conveyancing platforms
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
• The ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
