Junior Software Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our development team. You’ll play an important role in supporting the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and systems that power our products and services. This position involves coding, testing, troubleshooting, and working closely with senior developers and project teams to deliver reliable and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of software applications, systems, and related components.
• Support the team in gathering and understanding system and user requirements.
• Develop application logic, software modules, and scripts based on technical specifications and development standards.
• Integrate developed components with existing systems or third-party applications when required.
• Perform unit testing and support other testing activities such as system integration and user acceptance testing.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including system design notes, diagrams, and development references.
• Assist in system deployment activities including environment setup, configuration, and data migration when required.
• Investigate reported issues or defects and assist in troubleshooting technical problems.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure development tasks are completed within project timelines and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience in software development.
• Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as C/C++, C#, Java, or similar technologies.
• Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL, with exposure to relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Familiarity with web development technologies such as ASP.NET, Java, PHP, or similar frameworks is an advantage.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kuala Lumpur (Kuala Lumpur)
