Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on builder to help create Build with Gemma: Humor Genome NYC , a public Kaggle community hackathon exploring AI and comedy.
Event page: https://humorgenome.org/gemma
You will work directly on the technical participant experience, including:
- Building and improving Kaggle starter notebooks
- Prototyping AI humor projects and demos
- Creating clear examples, documentation, and submission guidance
- Testing the hackathon flow from a participant’s perspective
- Helping participants turn early ideas into working projects
You should be comfortable with Python, LLM APIs, GitHub, and rapid prototyping. Experience with Kaggle or developer hackathons is valuable but not required. A genuine interest in comedy, humor, or creative AI is important.
This is a hands-on building role, not a traditional project management or event production position. You must be available for occasional in-person working sessions in New York City.
