Data Engineer (Snowflake | Databricks | Azure DevOps)

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines using modern cloud data platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, Pandas, and Snowflake.
• Build robust data ingestion pipelines to extract data from APIs, databases, and flat files into Snowflake.
• Develop efficient data transformation solutions using Snowpark Python and advanced SQL.
• Implement incremental loading, watermarking, schema evolution, and error-handling mechanisms to ensure data quality and reliability.
• Optimize SQL queries and data pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Implement and maintain data governance practices, including RBAC, masking policies, and row-level security.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, BI teams, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake and advanced SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, and Pandas.
• Strong knowledge of Snowpark Python for data transformation.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience integrating data from APIs, databases, and flat files.
• Knowledge of incremental loading, schema evolution, watermarking, and error handling.
• Experience implementing data governance and security controls such as RBAC, masking policies, and row-level security.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
