Job Overview:

We’re seeking a motivated, hands‑on Software Engineer I with foundational experience in .NET/C# and Angular, and a strong interest in building modern, service‑oriented applications. This role focuses on developing high‑quality features under guidance while leveraging AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate learning and delivery.

You will contribute to designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications, while continuously improving your engineering practices. You are expected to adopt modern development standards, collaborate effectively within the team, and progressively build ownership of deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and implement full‑stack solutions using .NET/C#, Angular, and AWS.
• Build and maintain cloud‑native, containerized microservices architectures.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, and best‑practice implementation aligned with LPL SDLC and RM processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product, Design, Platform, Ops) to deliver high‑quality, integrated solutions.
• Identify opportunities for application and process improvements; contribute to platform roadmaps and technical documentation.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing systems.

• Contribute to Service‑Oriented Development

• Develop and enhance APIs and backend services using ASP.NET Core with guidance from senior engineers.
• Follow established design patterns (clean architecture, basic DDD concepts) to implement scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Build awareness of service reliability patterns (e.g., retries, logging, error handling).

• Build and Maintain Web UIs

• Develop responsive Angular applications (Angular 14+) following team standards.
• Implement UI components, integrate APIs, and ensure usability and accessibility basics.
• Learn and apply frontend best practices (modularization, reusable components, basic state management).

• Leverage AI Tools for Learning & Productivity

• Use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Copilot Chat) to assist with:
  • Code generation and suggestions
  • Unit test scaffolding
  • Documentation and debugging support
• Continuously improve productivity by adopting AI-assisted coding practices.
• Begin tracking personal efficiency improvements (e.g., faster task completion, reduced rework).

• Participate in SDLC with Quality Focus

• Write unit tests (xUnit/NUnit) for implemented features with guidance.
• Assist in integration and end‑to‑end testing efforts where required.
• Follow CI/CD practices and participate in code reviews and pull request processes.
• Ensure code meets quality and security guidelines defined by the team.

• Build Foundational Engineering Discipline

• Deliver committed work within sprint timelines with guidance from leads.
• Develop good coding practices, documentation habits, and debugging skills.
• Use team tools for tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement.

• Security & Compliance Awareness

• Follow secure coding practices and organizational standards.
• Learn foundational concepts of authentication, authorization, and data protection.
