Role & responsibilities

Job Title: Network Security Engineer (L2)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise firewalls, with current experience working at the L2 support level.
• Firewall OEM certifications (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, etc.) will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills & Responsibilities

Firewall Administration

• Manage and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls, including Palo Alto, Check Point, and Fortinet.
• Independently diagnose and resolve firewall-related incidents and issues.
• Perform firewall upgrades, configuration changes, and maintenance activities independently.
• Coordinate with OEM Technical Assistance Center (TAC) teams for issue resolution when required.

Network Administration

• Strong understanding of switching and routing concepts.
• Experience in managing and troubleshooting Cisco switches and related network infrastructure.

Web Application Firewall (F5 WAF)

• Minimum of 1+ year of hands-on experience in administering F5 Web Application Firewall (WAF).
• Configure and onboard new applications onto the WAF platform.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve WAF-related issues while ensuring optimal security and application availability.

Preferred Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently in a production support environment.
• Experience with change management and incident management processes.
