AI Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-powered features across all Karya modules.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and production-ready AI solutions.
• Work with OpenAI GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, Mistral, and other emerging models.
• Evaluate model performance, cost, latency, scalability, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Research and compare self-hosted versus API-based AI architectures.
• Develop OCR-based solutions for bills, invoices, expenses, resumes, and document processing.
• Build AI-powered summaries, suggested next actions, automated record creation, email generation, and reporting capabilities.
• Develop a Smart AI-powered Resource Allocation for a Task based on Availability, Skills, etc.
• Design prompts and workflows that generate reliable outputs.

• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions where appropriate.

• Collaborate with Product, BA, Development, and QA teams to define and implement AI requirements.
• Assist in defining AI strategy and future roadmap initiatives for Karya.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1-3 years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience working with OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar AI APIs.
• Understanding of Prompt Engineering, LLM concepts, AI application development, and RAG architectures.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently research, evaluate, and recommend technologies.
• Experience building proof-of-concepts and production-grade software solutions.
