Technical Project Manager, AI + Humor, NYC

Humor Genome NYC is looking for a hands-on technical project manager to help grow a Build with Gemma hackathon at the intersection of AI, humor, comedy, audience reaction, and creative tools.

This is a short-term project role for someone who can help create momentum before the July 25 live NYC showcase. You should be comfortable with AI tools, fast prototyping, community outreach, and helping people turn rough ideas into demoable projects.

You may help with:

• Creating or submitting a small sample project using Gemma
• Recruiting builders, comedians, writers, designers, and creative technologists
• Onboarding interested participants and helping them understand the Kaggle submission flow
• Supporting teams with project direction, technical feedback, or demo preparation
• Keeping the Kaggle discussion, starter notebook, and live showcase pipeline active
• Helping identify strong projects and prepare finalists for the NYC showcase

A strong fit is someone who is technical enough to understand AI prototypes, organized enough to coordinate people, and curious enough to care about what humor reveals about human context, timing, audience, and creativity.

This is not a generic AI role. Humor Genome NYC is looking for people who are specifically interested in the intersection of AI and humor.

Selected contributors may receive a project stipend of $100-$500 , depending on contribution level.
