Accounting Lead | Series B AI FinTech | NYC (Hybrid – 3 Days/Week in Office)

We’re partnering with a venture-backed, Series B AI FinTech that is transforming how businesses leverage automation, data intelligence, and financial infrastructure. Backed by top-tier investors and experiencing rapid growth, the company is building out its finance and accounting team and seeking an Accounting Manager to help scale financial operations during a pivotal stage of growth.

This is a highly visible role reporting directly to senior finance leadership and offers significant exposure to executive management, strategic initiatives, fundraising support, and operational scaling.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Manage general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal control policies
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, Product, and Leadership teams on strategic initiatives
• Support audits, tax filings, and external reporting requirements
• Improve accounting processes, automation, and systems as the company scales
• Assist with equity accounting, fundraising activities, and board reporting
• Mentor and develop junior accounting team members

What We’re Looking For

• CPA required
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting foundation (Big 4 or national firm preferred)
• Industry experience within SaaS, FinTech, Technology, AI, or high-growth startups
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting automation tools
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
