Software Engineer I - Java & NoSQL [T500-27419]

Best Buy™ India is seeking a Software Engineer 1 to play a key role in delivering software products for Best Buy’s Repair Triage team. You will work with Product Managers, User Experience Designers, Architects, and other team members to modernize and build products that align to the product team’s vision and strategy. The engineering of these products will leverage multi-cloud platforms, human centered design, Agile and DevOps principles to deliver industry leading solutions at high velocity with unrivaled quality. You will work on a team of talented software engineering professionals, leading by example, and mentoring others. Team Overview:

The Repair Triage team builds and delivers software that powers service eligibility, repair offerings, and entitlement experiences across Best Buy’s Repair ecosystem. We partner with Customer Care, Repair Operations, Product, and other engineering teams to ensure customers and agents have the tools and information needed to navigate repair and service journeys effectively. The team is also responsible for building the next-generation Support Workbench platform used by Customer Care agents across chat and phone channels. We are committed to delivering scalable, reliable, and user-centric solutions using modern cloud-native, event-driven, and micro-frontend technologies. This role is on an engineering team that encourages collaboration, pair programming, continuous learning, and test-driven development (TDD).

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor’s or associate degree, OR equivalent. Including:
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot frameworks
• 1+ years of experience working with relational databases and NoSQL databases
• 1+ years of experience in implementing micro-services
• 1+ years of experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with GraphQL and event-driven design

Preferred:

• Experience working in an omni-channel retail environment
• Familiarity with Jira, GitHub Actions or Jenkins, Splunk or Kibana or similar tools
• Experience with data streaming technologies, including Kafka
