Part-Time Household Assistant / Family Assistant

Job Summary
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented household assistant / family assistant with previous household assistant and housekeeping experience to support our busy family of 3. This role starts at 1 day per week. We’re open to a 5–6 hour shift or two 3-hour shifts during the week, and flexible on creating a consistent weekly schedule for the right person. We’re hoping to find someone interested in a long-term role with our family.

We’re looking for a trustworthy, skilled household partner who brings calm energy, good judgment, and reliable support. This role includes a mix of cleaning, household upkeep, errands, nearby driving support, and light family support.

Duties

• Priorities may vary by day, and not every responsibility will be needed each shift.
• Cleaning & household maintenance: cleaning and resetting high-traffic areas, wiping counters and surfaces, loading and unloading the dishwasher, kitchen reset tasks, vacuuming, mopping, taking out trash as needed, and helping keep main living areas clean and orderly
• Household organization: tidying common spaces, helping rooms feel reset, and supporting special organizing projects
• Laundry & linens: folding, putting away, and helping keep the laundry area organized
• Errands: post office runs, returns, package help, and other simple household errands
• Family support & driving: nearby driving support, including helping a parent and child get to local activities roughly 1 mile away
• Pet care: changing the automatic litter weekly and cleaning the cat water fountain and changing the filter monthly
• Light childcare: occasional short periods of supervision while we work from home, or stroller walks as needed

Experience

• Detail oriented
• Reliable and consistent
• Trustworthy and brings calm energy and good judgment
• Proactive and willing to support where needed
• Has previous household assistant and housekeeping experience
• Comfortable with hands-on cleaning, chores, and household upkeep as a regular part of the role
• Has a safe, reliable vehicle, a clean driving record, and is comfortable driving for family support
• Interested in a long-term role with our family

Position details:

• Starts at 1 day per week
• Open to a 5–6 hour shift or two 3-hour shifts during the week
• Flexible on creating a consistent weekly schedule
• Payroll position
• $30–$35/hour depending on experience
• Mileage reimbursement included
• Sick time accrues
• Background check required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
