Requirements :
This position is for BoM engineering support in the Genset application team. The successful candidate will support global generator sets Pricelists and factory support.

The Packaging team is a cross platform engineering group that manages products for multiple platforms and market segments. As a configuration engineer/factory support engineer, you will be part of the maintenance team through product configuration and structuring requirements to meet marketing, factory requirements, and technical requirements/specifications.

Teams will consist of both internal and external partners, and you will be responsible for ensuring the proper product rules created related to design, integration, application, and ready for market requirements. You will manage the planning and execution of project tasks for the projects that you support, develop and grow your generator set application knowledge and team leadership skills, and broaden your professional network.

The successful candidate will have experience in component or system design, package/engine application, and/or system integration. Additionally, he or she will have strong people skills for collaborating with process partners and interested in leading teams to identify and implement solutions for issue resolution.

Top candidates will have experience in all and/or some of these areas: engineering and factory systems, Med-V, 3500, and C175 products, demonstrated ability to deliver quality results with a sense of urgency, and experience delivering NPI, CPI, and/or cost reduction projects.

Ensures accurate BoMs for all managed pricelists by maintaining EHDs (Engineering Handoff Documents). This engineer also creates new pricing arrangements and updates existing, ensuring pricelists drive accurate material list on orders. Works with marketing and product definition teams on pricelist updates and helps route PLCNs.

Provides support for shop issues by investigating, coordinating with L3s, identifying RCCA and providing ICA’s. Some of the responsibilities include:

Interacting with a global team with strong communication skills both written and spoken with desired skills in basic engineering tools including MS Excel, MS Office, Pro/E(Creo), Teamcenter, EDS, VisMockup and drawing standards; an understanding of Visual Basic, Power BI, and SAP business systems .

Provide support for fixing shop builds/issues by investigating, coordinating with L3s, identifying Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA)and providing Interim Corrective Action (ICA) and Permanent Corrective Actions (PCA)

Refines and improves product designs by investigating and developing solutions to product design problems

Maintain good leadership skills in collaboration with Production, DTO teams, Sales Support Teams, Order analyst team and EC&S teams.

Involve in technical discussions to resolve the Price list compatibility issues and closely working with L5 teams to resolve them.

Involve in technical discussions with the EC&S (L3-Eng and Pkg) teams to Fix and Develop new components to resolve the Compatibility/BOM/Interference issues

Provides guidance to EC&S (L3-Eng& Pkg) to understand the issue in the current builds and its effect across the Plat forms.
