Network Security Engineer

The iNET Engineer will be responsible for the oversight, support, and management of Clients’ Firewall, Proxy, DNS, and Load Balancer infrastructure supporting the production environment. The engineer must possess strong technical knowledge of these technologies and operating systems, be capable of managing project responsibilities, and communicate progress and updates effectively. Some regional travel and participation in a 24/7 on-call support rotation are also required.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and perform health checks on all firewalls, proxies, and related infrastructure as required.
• Maintain, organize, and produce reporting information and documentation on the bank’s current technology environment for management review.
• Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation for Check Point, Fortinet, F5, Infoblox, McAfee, and Blue Coat environments.
• Provide daily operational support and deployment of firewall, proxy, DNS, and load balancer systems across the Americas region.
• Perform routine maintenance, including operating system upgrades, hardware replacements, and system fixes.
• Work closely with the Information Security team to implement, validate, and review security policies.
• Follow all IT Production (ITP) controls, policies, and procedures to proactively manage IT risks, improve predictability of core services, minimize production impact, and enhance stability and visibility through proper documentation.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the installation, configuration, and optimization of:
• F5 Big-IP LTM/GTM Load Balancers
• Check Point Firewalls
• Fortinet Firewalls
• McAfee or Blue Coat (HTTP/SOCKS) Proxy solutions
• Infoblox DNS/DHCP infrastructure
• Possess a strong understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and network security technologies, including:
• High Availability Clustering
• Transparent Mode
• SSL/VPN
• Command-line administration (Bash, Shell, Cisco IOS, etc.)
• Have strong knowledge of Check Point Multi-Domain Server (MDS) and Fortinet management platforms.
• Experience with HP Network Automation and SolarWinds is considered a strong advantage.
• Demonstrate strong technical expertise combined with project management skills.

• Provide up to Level 4 support for all firewall, proxy, DNS, and load balancer systems throughout the Americas.
• Work alongside system support teams to troubleshoot complex cross-platform infrastructure issues.
• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot firewall, proxy, DNS, and load balancing environments in accordance with corporate and security standards.
• Implement and support multi-vendor firewall platforms, primarily using Check Point and FortiGate technologies.
• Design, support, and maintain HTTP/HTTPS and SOCKS proxy environments using Blue Coat SG Series and McAfee appliances.

Required Experience

• Approximately 10 years of experience in network security engineering, with strong expertise in enterprise firewall, proxy, DNS, and load balancing technologies.
