Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications that support the customer journey lifecycle. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering managers, product managers, software engineers, and data engineers to build reliable, high-performance solutions while contributing to long-term technical improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Build and enhance tools and capabilities to centralize data and event processing.
- Solve complex technical challenges to improve development efficiency and support business growth.
- Contribute to system design, software architecture, and technical decision-making.
- Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend services.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and integrity of backend systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones.
- Follow software engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Support system reliability, observability, monitoring, and operational excellence.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Java.
- Experience with Microservices and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, AWS RDS, and AWS S3.
- Strong understanding of System Design and Software Architecture.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Good to Have
- Experience with Python or Golang.
- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Observability, and Monitoring.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Mandatory Skills: Java, Microservices, AWS Lambda, AWS RDS, AWS S3, System Design, Software Architecture.
