Java Developer [82741]

We’re partnering with our client, a dynamic company in the financial services industry, to find a skilled Java Developer. This position is based in New York City and offers a hybrid work schedule—on-site Tuesday through Thursday. The role is a temporary assignment with the potential to become a full-time role.

Java Developer Responsibilities:

• Create, test, and maintain scalable Java applications to meet business needs.
• Write clear, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas.
• Automate deployment and monitor systems through shell scripting.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and product managers.

Java Developer Qualifications:

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Java programming (Java 8 or newer).
• Proficiency in PL/SQL, preferably with Oracle databases.
• Strong shell scripting skills using Bash, KornShell, or similar.
• In-depth understanding of object-oriented programming and hardware design principles.
• Experience using version control systems like GitHub, and working within Linux/Unix environments.
