Principal Software Developer

The Role

• Contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced development team supporting researchers in prototyping and delivering new systematic investment strategies.
• Provide high-impact solutions for alpha research, portfolio construction, and risk management.
• Design and implement high-quality, scalable, robust, resilient and efficient analytical and software solutions.
• Collaborate with research teams to develop new models and products.
• Lead implementation of research projects through the entire software development lifecycle.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related field with 6+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience.
• Expertise in Python with full-stack development experience and exposure to object-oriented programming.
• Experience with various database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Graph) and batch/API technologies (Autosys, Airflow, FastAPI, Flask).
• Proven ability to construct and manage robust data pipelines and event-driven workflows.
• Expertise in system design and cloud architecture on AWS, including Lambda, S3, EKS, and EC2.
• Experience in containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines (Linux, Jenkins), and GitHub.
• Experience operationalizing machine learning models on AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock) and applying MLOps principles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and quantitative finance.
