Consultant - AI Engineer

Position Summary

As a Consultant - AI Engineer, you will be a technical contributor, supporting the development and implementation of innovative Agentic AI solutions. You will work closely with other AI engineers, product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable Gen AI products. Your technical skills and learning agility will be essential in building assigned AI capabilities, following engineering best practices, and supporting impactful AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the technical design, development and implementation of AI-powered applications and services, with a specific focus on Agentic AI, aligned with strategic business priorities.
• Develop and test assigned AI agents, prompt flows, API services, tool integrations, and workflow automations.
• Work with senior consultants, technical product managers and other stakeholders to translate product requirements and user stories into technical specifications and actionable development tasks.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI agents to automate tasks, improve decision-making, and enhance user experience.
• Integrate AI agents into existing systems and workflows, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.
• Participate in knowledge sharing with team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation in Agentic AI.
• Follow engineering best practices for development process, ensuring adherence to coding standards, testing protocols, and deployment procedures.
• Support the implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure AI infrastructure components.
• Troubleshoot defects, integration issues, model behavior concerns, and production support items.
• Evaluate and prototype emerging AI technologies and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay current with advancements in AI and Agentic AI and continuously build technical capability.
• Participate in cross-functional collaboration across HCA business functions, IT, and enterprise product teams.
• Apply responsible and ethical AI practices into solution development, including guardrails, evaluation checks, and human-in-the-loop considerations.
• Participate in code reviews, team discussions, documentation, and Agile ceremonies.
• Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.
• Typical work hours can vary depending on workload and project deliverables.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering, data science or related field.
• Master’s degree in computer science engineering, data science or related field.
• 6-8 years of software development experience with 2+ years in AI/ML focused on Agentic AI.
