Job Description

We are currently hiring experienced Senior COBOL Professionals to join a leading enterprise client in Ireland.

Open Positions

  • Senior COBOL Developer (L2)– Dublin
  • Senior COBOL Technical Lead (L3)– Limerick

Hybrid with 2 days in the office. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise COBOL applications.
  • Analyse business and technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and optimise mission-critical mainframe applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and production support.
  • For the Technical Lead role, provide technical leadership, mentor developers, and drive solution delivery.

Required Skills Experience

  • L2:Minimum 5+ years of COBOL development experience.
  • L3:Minimum 10+ years of COBOL development experience, including proven technical leadership.
  • Strong hands-on experience with: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, IBM Mainframe (z/OS)
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Experience working on large enterprise applications.

Essential Requirement

  • Previous professional experience working in Ireland is mandatory.
  • Candidates must have strong knowledge of the Irish banking, financial services, or enterprise IT environment.
  • Applicants without Irish work experience will not be considered.
