Job Description

We are looking for an experienced WordPress and Shopify Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be able to convert designs into responsive websites, customize WordPress and Shopify themes, manage website updates, and ensure websites are fast, clean, and user-friendly.

This role is focused mainly on WordPress and Shopify development, theme customization, responsive layouts, website maintenance, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert PSD, Figma, or other design files into responsive WordPress and Shopify websites.
• Customize WordPress themes as per project requirements.
• Customize Shopify themes and store layouts.
• Work with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery for front-end development.
• Create and manage pages, sections, templates, menus, and website layouts.
• Customize WordPress using page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, or similar tools.
• Customize Shopify themes using Shopify Liquid.
• Set up and configure WordPress plugins and Shopify apps as required.
• Ensure websites are responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Optimize website speed, performance, and basic SEO structure.
• Troubleshoot website layout issues, plugin conflicts, theme errors, and browser compatibility problems.
• Perform website updates, backups, migrations, and basic maintenance.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers, and other team members to deliver websites on time.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in WordPress and Shopify development.
• Strong experience in WordPress theme customization.
• Good experience in Shopify theme customization.
• Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Basic understanding of PHP for WordPress customization.
• Good understanding of Shopify Liquid.
• Experience with responsive and cross-browser compatible websites.
• Experience with common WordPress plugins and Shopify apps.
• Ability to convert designs into pixel-perfect web pages.
• Basic understanding of website speed optimization and SEO best practices.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control tools will be a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website issues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with WooCommerce.
• Experience with Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, or similar WordPress builders.
• Experience with Shopify store setup, product pages, collections, and checkout-related theme customization.
• Basic knowledge of cPanel, hosting, domain setup, SSL, and website migration.
