Software Development Engineer II

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer II with 79 years of professional experience to lead backend development for complex, scalable systems. This role combines deep technical expertise, client - facing engagement, and leadership responsibilities. You will design, implement, and optimize backend services, drive delivery excellence, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross - functional teams.

What Youll Do The Impact Youll Have

• Lead backend system design, estimation, and implementation efforts.
• Build and deploy highly scalable APIs on AWS, applying best practices in networking (VPC, DNS, NLB, Cloud NAT).
• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines and ensure secure deployments with CORS, WAF, and IAM policies.
• Act as the client - facing technical lead during discussions, deep - dives, and delivery presentations.
• Guide L3L5 engineers, review architecture decisions, and mentor team members.
• Deliver large components/modules, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and scale.
• Balance 50% leadership (reviews, client alignment) and 50% individual contribution (core components, POCs).

Requirements

What Youll Bring to the Table

Must - Have Skills:

• Strong communication skills: fluent in English or a native ASEAN language
• Expert in Python or TypeScript programming patterns
• Experience designing and deploying scalable APIs on AWS
• Deep understanding of networking: VPC, DNS, NLB, Cloud NAT
• Ownership of CI/CD pipelines and secure deployment practices
• Leadership experience: guiding engineers and reviewing architecture
• Delivery excellence: owning large modules, client - facing responsibilities

• Designing cost - efficient architectures using AWS cost tools
• Building advanced queuing pipelines (Kafka, SQS + Lambda)
