NuEdge Agri Solutions is looking for a reliable, practical and hands-on person to join our Operations team as a Casual Field Operations Assistant based in Darlington Point, NSW.

This is a varied field-based role supporting customers, farms and production operations across the region. You’ll assist with deliveries, operate equipment, carry out basic maintenance and provide general operational support during busy seasonal periods.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations team, your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

·       Assisting with deliveries of liquid fertiliser products to customer sites

·       Operating pumps, hoses and associated transfer equipment

·       Supporting the safe and efficient unloading of product

·       Travelling to farms and customer locations throughout the region

·       Inspecting, maintaining and carrying out basic repairs on field equipment

·       Assisting with equipment breakdowns when required

·       Building positive relationships with customers, growers and transport contractors

·       Providing general operational and production support during busy periods

·       Maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping and product quality

About you

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, safety-focused and comfortable working in a hands-on environment. You will ideally be:

·       Practical, mechanically minded and willing to learn

·       Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently

·       Comfortable working outdoors in a range of conditions

·       Physically fit and capable of manual handling

·       Friendly, professional and confident communicating with customers

·       Flexible and willing to travel locally when required

What you’ll need

·       Current unrestricted driver’s licence

·       Good mechanical aptitude

·       A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Desirable skills and experience

·       Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, transport or logistics

·       Mechanical or trade background

·       Experience operating pumps, hoses or agricultural equipment

·       Forklift licence

·       Chemical handling experience
