Role: Lead Technical Writer

Job Description :

• Define and maintain the technical communications standards strategy, including information architecture principles, source-of-truth rules, reuse patterns, metadata expectations, lifecycle controls, content governance guardrails, and clear alignment to business objectives.
• Own the technical design of the common way of working for approved content, including structural standards, templates, authoring guidance, validation criteria, HTML5 consistency expectations, and rules for trusted reuse.
• Partner with the Technical Communications Project Manager to ensure technical standards are reflected in intake guidance, Jira workflows, publication readiness checkpoints, release coordination, and risk management.
• Partner with the functional people manager to define where technical standards, governance, and content quality expectations need to be reinforced through onboarding, coaching, training, and working practices
• Evaluate technical implications of tooling, automation, and delivery-channel changes in partnership with automation and project-management roles so that new approaches remain aligned with governance and content integrity.

Essential Skill set/s :

• Significant experience developing complex technical documentation and defining standards for structured content, reuse, governance, or content operations in a software, systems, scientific, or engineering environment
• Experience with documentation authoring and workflow tools such as MadCap Flare, MadCap Central, Jira, Teams, Office 365, SharePoint, or version-controlled content systems
• Ability to define technical standards through influence, explain tradeoffs clearly, and turn high-level governance or IA strategy into usable team guidance.
• Ability to work effectively with a separate people manager and a separate project-management function while retaining clear ownership of technical direction and standards.
• Strong understanding of documentation quality, validation, publishing, translation readiness, accessibility, review practices, and customer-facing technical content delivery
