Technical Writer

nGenue is a leading software company specializing in Natural Gas software solutions. We empower businesses in the energy sector with cutting-edge technology to optimize operations and enhance decision-making.

We are looking for a Technical Writer (𝟐–𝟒 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞) to create and maintain high-quality product documentation, including user guides, online help, release notes, and knowledge base articles for SaaS applications.

You will collaborate with Developers, QA Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and UX teams to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation. Experience working in a Docs-as-Code environment using Git/Bitbucket, Visual Studio Code, and Markdown to create and manage documentation efficiently.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, QA Engineers, Business Analysts, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gain an in-depth understanding of the product, architecture, features, and documentation requirements.

• Create, edit, and maintain high-quality product documentation, including User Guides, Installation Guides, Release Notes, Knowledge Base Articles, FAQs, and online help content.

• Author and maintain documentation using 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 in Visual Studio Code (VS Code) while following documentation standards and best practices.

• Work in a 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐬-𝐚𝐬-𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 environment using 𝐆𝐢𝐭/𝐁𝐢𝐭𝐛𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭 for version control, documentation updates, and collaboration.

• Participate in 𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞/𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐦 ceremonies to stay informed about upcoming features, enhancements, and product changes.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 2–4 years of experience in technical writing for SaaS or software products.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.

• Basic understanding of Docs-as-Code principles and documentation workflows.

• Experience using Git or Bitbucket for version-controlled documentation.

• Experience with screenshot and screen recording tools such as Snagit and Camtasia.

• Ability to create process flows and technical diagrams using PlantUML, Mermaid, or similar diagramming tools.
