Job Description
ABOUT MORNING WALK
We build Performance Branding Ecosystems that turn brand creativity into measurable business outcomes — work designed to create both emotional impact and real-world results. We serve household-name brands across hospitality, CPG, and manufacturing.
We’re Midwest-rooted and nationally recognized — a collaborative, senior-led team that brings big thinking to some of the most recognized brands in the country.
THE ROLE
The Assistant Account Executive, Integrated Communications will serve as a hands-on contributor across social media, influencer marketing, and public relations programs.
This role is well-suited for a communicator who is building their foundation — someone eager to learn how great content moves audiences, support influencer programs from research through delivery, and assist with earned media efforts alongside a senior-led team.
This role is client-adjacent and team-supported; you’ll work closely with senior team members to execute programs and develop the skills to grow into greater ownership over time.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media & Content
- Support social media execution across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook — learning platform best practices through real client work
- Assist with content calendar management, community management guidelines, and briefing materials
- Support content production — get comfortable on and behind the camera, and contribute to UGC-style shoots
- Write copy across formats including captions, short-form scripts, and story concepts under senior guidance
- Monitor platform trends and cultural moments; surface relevant insights for the team
- Help track and compile social performance data for reporting
Influencer Marketing
- Assist with influencer program support — talent research, vetting, tracking, and deliverable coordination
- Conduct content reviews to check for brand alignment and FTC compliance before content goes live
- Help maintain influencer tracking documents and organized talent lists
Public Relations & Earned Media
- Support earned media programs through media monitoring, coverage tracking, and media list upkeep
- Draft pitches, press releases, and supporting materials with guidance from senior team members
- Help manage inbound media responses in coordination with the broader team
Team & Administrative Support
- Keep project management tools, trackers, and team documents organized and current
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture with a positive, can-do attitude
- Support senior team members on day-to-day program needs as they arise
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Skills & Qualifications
- Working knowledge of major social platforms and an eye for what makes content perform
- Some exposure to influencer marketing — willingness to learn vetting, contracting, and compliance processes
- Comfort creating content — behind or in front of the camera — and a willingness to roll up your sleeves
- Foundational PR knowledge: familiarity with media relations, pitching, and monitoring tools a plus
- Strong writing fundamentals with an instinct for tone and brand voice
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
- Proactive, communicative style — you flag issues early and ask good questions
- Collaborative energy and a genuine desire to learn in a fast-paced agency environment
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, Sprout Social, or Google Suite a plus
Education & Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in social media, communications, PR, or influencer marketing (internships and agency experience count)
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred
- Experience in lifestyle, consumer, wellness, hospitality, or a similar category a plus
Physical Requirements
Day-to-day, you’ll be at your desk — writing, researching, coordinating, and communicating. When the work calls for it, you’ll also get out in the field for shoots, events, or in-person collaboration with clients and the team.
Bonus: You’ve already worked on a campaign, influencer activation, or social strategy — even as an intern — and you have something to show for it.
WHY MORNING WALK?
Morning Walk is the antidote to fractured marketing. We don’t make you choose between brand creativity and hard performance — we build both. Here, you’ll work directly alongside senior talent on household-name brands, inside…
