Overview

A leading financial institution is seeking a Senior Audit Group Manager to lead the implementation of data analytics and AI-driven audit capabilities across its capital markets audit organization. This leadership role will oversee complex audit initiatives, manage a team of audit professionals, and partner with senior stakeholders to integrate emerging technologies into audit planning, testing, and risk assessment. The ideal candidate will combine deep internal audit expertise with experience leveraging data analytics and AI to strengthen audit quality and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of data analytics and AI audit capabilities across capital markets audit teams.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex internal audits and strategic audit initiatives.
• Manage and develop a team of audit professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Develop audit strategies that leverage data analytics and emerging technologies to improve audit effectiveness.
• Partner with business leaders and audit stakeholders to identify emerging risks and recommend control enhancements.
• Contribute to enterprise risk assessments and annual audit planning activities.
• Serve as a strategic advisor on audit methodology, analytics, and AI-related initiatives.
• Build relationships across business units and promote consistent audit practices.
• Present audit findings, recommendations, and strategic updates to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance audit processes and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional certification required.
• 10+ years of internal audit, audit advisory, or risk management experience.
• 8+ years of experience applying data analytics and/or AI within an audit environment.
• Financial services experience preferred; Big 4 advisory or industry experience accepted.
• Advanced knowledge of internal audit standards, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership experience managing audit teams and complex engagements.
• Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience implementing audit innovation, analytics, or AI-driven audit methodologies.
• Ability to lead strategic initiatives and influence senior leadership.
