Job Description
I’m working on a search for an AI Scientist focused on building next-generation systems that sit at the intersection of advanced machine learning and drug discovery .
This is a hands-on, highly technical role for someone who enjoys moving between research + prototyping + real-world system building . You’ll be exploring cutting-edge AI approaches and turning them into working prototypes that can support scientific reasoning, data-driven experimentation, and faster R&D decision-making in a pharmaceutical context.
The work is centered around building experimental AI capabilities such as:
- Multi-component AI systems that can collaborate on complex scientific tasks
- LLM-based workflows that support reasoning over biomedical data
- Experimental frameworks for evaluating emerging AI techniques in a research setting
- Reusable architectures that can eventually scale into production environments
You’ll be working closely with both research and engineering teams to identify where modern AI can meaningfully improve discovery speed, insight generation, and experimental workflows in life sciences.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong background in AI/ML, computer science, computational biology, or a related field (MS/PhD level preferred)
- ~3+ years in applied AI, ML engineering, or research-driven environments
- Strong Python and hands-on experience with modern ML tooling (e.g., PyTorch or similar ecosystems)
- Familiarity with LLM-based systems, retrieval workflows, or experimental AI frameworks
- Interest in building systems involving AI agents, orchestration, or reasoning-style workflows (nice to have)
- Exposure to life sciences, healthcare, or biomedical data is a strong plus
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, exploratory environments where ideas move quickly into prototypes
This role is ideal for someone who is genuinely excited about frontier AI systems and wants to apply them in a domain where they can directly impact scientific discovery.
Must be eligible to work in the United States (no sponsorship available).
