Job Description
About Fika Jobs
At a time when so much of AI in recruitment is focused on speed and efficiency, candidates are often reduced to CVs, keywords and optimized applications.
Fika Jobs is making a different bet.
We believe the future of hiring should put candidates front and center.
Instead of asking people to compress who they are into a CV and cover letter, Fika Jobs lets candidates tell their story through an AI conversation: what they have built, what they are great at, what drives them and what kind of work they want to do next.
The result is a richer, more human profile that helps companies understand the person behind the application.
We recently announced our $4M pre-seed round and are building a small, A* team with people from companies like Spotify, Klarna and King.
Now we are looking for exceptional people who want to join early, take real ownership and do the best work of their lives.
The role
We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to help build the product experiences that define Fika Jobs.
You will work closely with founders, design, product and engineering to build beautiful, fast and intuitive experiences for candidates and companies. Your work will shape how candidates tell their story, how companies discover talent and how AI-powered hiring can feel more human.
This is not a role for someone who only wants to implement designs pixel by pixel without thinking about the product. We are looking for someone with strong frontend craft, product taste and extremely high agency - someone who cares about details, speed, UX and building things people love using.
What you’ll own
- Build core frontend experiences for candidates and companies
- Turn high-quality design into fast, polished and intuitive product
- Collaborate closely with design, product and backend engineering
- Raise the bar for frontend quality, performance and user experience
- Move quickly from idea to shipped product
- Help define what great frontend engineering looks like at Fika Jobs
Who you are
- You are an exceptional frontend engineer with strong product taste
- You care deeply about craft, UX, performance and details
- You have extremely high agency and take ownership without waiting for instructions
- You can work closely with designers and make good product decisions along the way
- You move fast without lowering the quality bar
- You are comfortable with ambiguity, speed and high expectations
- You want to join a small, A* team and do the best work of your life
Tech stack
Today, we work with Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, AWS and PostgreSQL.
You do not need to have used our exact stack before. We care more about exceptional engineering ability, frontend craft, product judgment and ownership than experience with any specific technology.
Why join Fika Jobs
This is a chance to help shape the product experience of a company trying to redefine how people find work.
You will have significant freedom, direct access to the founders and the opportunity to build product experiences used by thousands of candidates and ambitious technology companies.
There is very little bureaucracy, no endless approval chains and no hiding behind narrow responsibilities. You will be trusted to build, improve, experiment and raise the quality bar.
This is a role for people who want to do the best work of their career and help build a product that feels different.
How to apply
No cover letter needed.
Apply using the link and take our AI conversation. It is your chance to tell your story in your own words - what you have built, how you think about frontend craft, what great product experience means to you and what you want to do next.
The conversation helps us get to know the person behind the CV.
Just be yourself. We would much rather hear how you think than read another polished application.
You missed this one - but you don't have to keep missing out. Try Club members get matched with open opportunities before they're gone, so you're always first in line, never last.
