TechnoNexis is looking for an AI Engineer Intern to join our engineering team and work on real-world AI systems that go far beyond basic chatbot development.

At TechnoNexis, we specialize in building customized software systems and enterprise-grade AI solutions that solve real business challenges. This internship offers an opportunity to work on production-oriented AI applications while collaborating with experienced developers in a professional software development environment.

This is a remote, unpaid internship intended for candidates who have a solid understanding of modern AI technologies and are eager to gain hands-on experience by contributing to active projects. You will work closely with our AI, backend, and frontend teams to build intelligent, scalable, and production-ready AI solutions.

What You’ll Work On

• Design and develop multi-agent AI systems for real-world applications.
• Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines from scratch.
• Create AI orchestration workflows using modern agent frameworks.
• Develop document ingestion, indexing, and knowledge processing pipelines.
• Build semantic search systems using embedding models and vector databases.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) with enterprise applications and external APIs.
• Optimize AI workflows for scalability, latency, reliability, and response quality.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend developers to deliver production-ready AI features.
• Participate in testing, evaluation, and continuous improvement of AI models and workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Good understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI concepts.
• Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture.
• Understanding of vector databases and semantic search techniques.
• Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar.
• Understanding of prompt engineering and LLM evaluation methodologies.
• Experience with FastAPI or a similar Python backend framework.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and database fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development practices.

Preferred Qualification

• Familiarity with fine-tuning techniques such as LoRA, QLoRA, or PEFT.
• Understanding of knowledge graphs and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Knowledge of agent memory architectures.
• Experience with Redis, Docker, and cloud deployment.
• Familiarity with Supabase.
• Experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n.
