Most buying assistant roles keep you in one lane. Raise the PO, update the tracker, chase the sample, repeat. You rarely see what happens next.

This one’s the opposite.

We’re working with an Australian women’s fashion brand that started small and has scaled into a properly successful direct-to-consumer business. Founder-led, ecommerce-first, and built on knowing its customer inside out. The team is lean, the pace is quick, and everyone sits close to the product.

That’s what makes these roles different.

Because the business runs lean and sells direct, the buying team touches the whole product journey. Sample to supplier, purchase order to delivery, website launch to sell-through. You won’t be parked in one corner of the process. You’ll see how product actually gets bought, built, launched and sold inside a modern ecommerce brand.

There are two roles open. One suits someone with roughly six months to two years behind them, ready to build past the basics. The other suits someone with two to four years who wants more ownership across critical path, suppliers, samples and product set-up, with less hand-holding.

Day to day you’d be across:

• Raising and tracking purchase orders
• Managing samples and supplier communication
• Keeping the critical path moving
• Product set-up, pricing and info across Shopify and Indigo 8
• Tracking shipments and ETAs
• Supporting stock movements and product launches
• Getting stuck into content days, photoshoots and the commercial side of buying

If you love product, you’re sharp on detail and you’re comfortable in systems, this is a strong place to grow a buying career. You’ll learn more here, faster, than you would in one narrow seat at a bigger retailer.

$60,000 to $75,000 plus super depending on experience. Northern Beaches based, reporting into the Buying Manager.
