What’s In Store For You:

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a hands-on network engineer who enjoys owning technical outcomes in a lean environment. The role offers the opportunity to support a Cisco-based infrastructure, work across routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, monitoring, and cloud networking, and make practical recommendations for improving the network environment. The position is hybrid in New Jersey with a minimum of three days onsite.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Support daily network operations across routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and monitoring environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents while following ITIL-aligned incident and change management practices.
• Review the current network environment and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, configuration records, and change-related documentation.
• Support implementation work for new sites, network changes, and infrastructure improvements.
• Work hands-on with Cisco technologies, routing protocols, firewalls, Meraki wireless, and network monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and business stakeholders to ensure network stability and performance.

Are you a proven hands-on network engineering professional with deep Cisco, routing, and switching expertise?

• Strong hands-on experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise environments.
• Required: CCNP certification.
• Preferred: CCIE certification.
• Strong experience with Cisco routing and switching.
• Strong working knowledge of OSPF and BGP .
• Experience with firewall concepts, network segmentation, and how firewalls operate within enterprise environments.
• Experience with ITIL-aligned change, incident, and operational processes.
• Ability to create and maintain strong technical documentation and configuration records.
• Experience with Meraki wireless is preferred.
• Experience with Dynatrace or similar monitoring tools is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud networking in AWS, GCP, or Azure is helpful, especially VPC/VPE, cloud routing, virtual networking, and security groups.
• Must be comfortable working onsite in New Jersey at least three days per week.
