Software Engineer 2 - Java Backend

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement scalable and resilient cloud-native solutions using Java microservice architecture.
• Exposure in enterprise application architecture with Java and various system integration methodologies.
• Good to have exposure to Javascript based UI application design and development.
• Candidate should be familiar with CNCF landscape and should have used best practices as per the standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Define and enforce best practices for cloud-native application development, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
• Evaluate and recommend suitable technologies, frameworks, and tools for efficient microservices development and deployment.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
• Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning for large-scale cloud-native deployments.
• Address non-functional requirements such as scalability, availability, and maintainability in cloud-native architectures.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams on cloud-native best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud-Native Architect with expertise in Java microservice development.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their services.
• Strong understanding of non-functional requirements and ability to design solutions that meet high-performance and scalability needs.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot or Jakarta EE, and related frameworks for microservices development.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with API design, RESTful services, and microservices communication patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
