One of the fastest-growing AI companies in the world is hiring an Engineering Manager to help build the next generation of AI agents.
The company has grown from a $650M valuation to $4.5B , recently closed its Series D , and is already powering customer experiences for companies including Duolingo, Chime, Cash App, Hertz, Oura and more.
📍 New York City (5 days onsite)
💰 $300k-$360k base + meaningful equity
They’re looking for someone who still enjoys solving difficult technical problems while leading a high-performing engineering team. You’ll remain close to architecture, work directly with enterprise customers, and help define the future of AI-powered customer support.
You’ll be working on:
- AI agents handling millions of real customer conversations
- Large-scale distributed systems
- LLMs, agentic workflows and multimodal AI
- Building products from scratch rather than maintaining legacy systems
- Defining technical strategy alongside Product and Research
What they’re looking for:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- 1+ years leading engineers (or an experienced Tech Lead / Staff Engineer ready to step into management)
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals
- Experience building distributed systems or customer-facing products
- Python and/or TypeScript
- Comfortable remaining technically involved while growing a team
