We are hiring a part-time Executive Assistant on behalf of our client — a founder-led business exit advisory firm launching in the Folsom/Sacramento region of Northern California. The founder is a seasoned entrepreneur and financial industry veteran whose new firm is focused on guiding business owners through the process of exiting their companies.
With a book launching in August and a busy schedule of speaking engagements, media appearances, and business development activity ramping up this summer, the founder needs a capable, organized, and locally based assistant to help manage his calendar, coordinate logistics, and keep the day-to-day running smoothly.
This is a flexible, work-from-home role — ideal for someone with strong administrative experience who is looking for meaningful part-time work and wants the opportunity to support something being built from the ground up.
Core Responsibilities

- Handle email correspondence, draft communications, and manage inbox prioritization on behalf of the founder
- Coordinate logistics for speaking engagements, conferences, media appearances, and podcast interviews
- Support book launch activities for an upcoming book publication (launches August 2026), including coordinating with the publisher, scheduling interviews, and managing promotional commitments
- Research and prepare background materials, briefings, and agendas ahead of meetings and events
- Handle light administrative tasks including document management, expense tracking, and vendor coordination
- Serve as a communication bridge — screening and routing calls, messages, and inquiries appropriately
- Provide general personal assistance as needed to free up the founder’s time and attention for high-value work
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience as an executive assistant, personal assistant, or in a senior administrative role — experience supporting a C-suite executive, entrepreneur, or founder is ideal
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive — anticipates needs before being asked
- Strong written communication skills — able to draft professional correspondence and communications that represent the founder well
- Comfortable working independently and managing priorities with minimal oversight
- Tech-savvy — proficient with calendar tools, email platforms, and basic productivity software; comfort with AI tools is a plus
- Located in the Folsom/Sacramento region of Northern California - local presence is important for occasional in-person needs
- Flexible and adaptable — this is a startup environment and the work will evolve as the firm grows
- Trustworthy and discreet — will be exposed to sensitive business and personal information
Compensation and Benefits
- $35–$40 per hour, depending on experience
- 20–25 hours per week — schedule is flexible and will be coordinated with the founder
- Remote/work-from-home with occasional local availability as needed
- Opportunity to grow with the firm as it expands over the next 18–24 months
