Senior Backend Developer

The client is seeking a Senior Software Developer with extensive experience designing, developing, and supporting high-scale distributed applications. The successful candidate will work on modern cloud-native solutions, microservices architecture, API development, and containerized environments while collaborating throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Translate technical and business requirements into scalable, tested software solutions.
• Design, develop, code, test, debug, document, and maintain enterprise applications.
• Develop detailed programming specifications and technical designs.
• Build and support microservices-based applications and APIs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and deployment issues.
• Support software implementations, migrations, and production releases.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Conduct unit testing and participate in design and code reviews.
• Implement security best practices for cloud-based applications.
• Provide post-implementation support and technical issue resolution.
• Create technical and user documentation as required.

Must-Have Skills

• 10+ years of software development experience in large-scale, distributed environments
• Strong backend development experience with Spring Boot, Node.js, or .NET Core
• Hands-on experience designing and developing Microservices and REST APIs
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong knowledge of API Gateways, Service Discovery, and Load Balancing
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in Agile software development environments

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
• Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture using Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or Event Grid
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Application Insights
• Experience optimizing high-traffic cloud-native applications
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with middleware technologies and enterprise integrations
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (AODA) and secure coding best practices
