Project Manager

Job Summary

Metzinger Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial concrete construction projects. Our work includes concrete flatwork, driveways, sidewalks, patios, porches, slabs, footings, foundations, and site concrete. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining positive relationships with customers, builders, suppliers, and field personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee multiple concrete construction projects simultaneously.
• Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to meet project timelines.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and productivity.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, builders, inspectors, and vendors.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and forecasts.
• Identify and resolve project challenges, delays, and field issues.
• Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
• Track project costs and approve purchase orders, invoices, and change orders.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
• Attend pre-construction, scheduling, and progress meetings.
• Work closely with field supervisors to ensure efficient project execution.
• Promote and enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance.
• Assist with estimating, project planning, and business development as needed.

QualificationsRequired

• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in concrete construction, sitework, civil construction, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of concrete flatwork, slabs, driveways, sidewalks, patios, and porches.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
